10:30 – 11:00       Session 2 – Take Down Techniques (Wrestling Room)

11:00 – 11:55       Session 3 – Breaking Techniques

11:55 – 12:00       Questions & Bow Out

Group Lunch after: Location TBA

Group Photo - Advanced Training March 21, 2015

Members of Central Michigan Karate gathered for an Advanced Training Session this weekend.  The event was focused on providing Green Belts an opportunity to work out with the Red & Black belts on specific Self-Defense Training.

Advanced Karate Training - March 21st

Members of Central Michigan Karate Club will be working on advanced training March 21, 2015 in Mt. Pleasant.  This training session is open to all CMK members with Green, Red or Black Belts.

CMK Students Compete Feb 28th

Great Lakes All Star Open Martial Arts Championship


Members of Central Michigan Karate attended the Great Lakes All Star Open Martial Arts Championship on Saturday February 28, 2015

The event was hosted by Gene Wudkwych of the Grand Rapids Karate Academy.

This event was attended by a large number of people and each division provided good levels of competition.  All CMK Students participated with the full spirit of the Marital Arts, shown below are the competitors ( Jaxon, Nick, Jesse & Josh ) with instructors Douglas Resseguie and Kelly Case.  The photo was taken with Grandmaster David J. Praim and his son David Praim from KI.



The next competition for the group will take place on March 28th in Grand Rapids.

2015 Advanced Training Program

2015 Advanced Training Program

Central Michigan Karate club completed the first of 12 Advanced Training Sessions scheduled for 2015 on Saturday January 24th. The training sessions are open to Red and Black belt club members to focus on forms, self-defense, fighting and other topics.  This information will then be passed on to the different clubs by the instructor.

Semester ends with Karate Testings

 
The Central Michigan Karate Club ended the fall 2014 semester with 37 members testing at three different events.  Students tested for various ranks in every belt category including: Red, Green, Purple and Yellow.  The results from November testing events are posted here and the final results of Saturday's test will be passed out by instructors at the next class.


Great job this semester to everyone: students, instructors, friends and family!  
Enjoy the time off and see everyone in January as we prepare for the 2015 tournament circuit, seminars and other fun events.
