Douglas P. Resseguie began the study of Karate in 1982 under Paul Robb at the Harrison Dance Center. Paul Robb ( KI Black Belt #99 ) received his 1st degree black belt in June of 1982 and his 2nd degree in June of 1984 as part of Karate Institute of America. Paul Robb trained under Gary Carrier ( KI Black Belt #80 ) who received his 1st degree black belt in September of 1976. Gary Carrier trained under Donald Davis ( KI Black Belt #30 ) who received his 1st degree black belt in September 1970. Donald Davis trained under David J. Praim ( KI Black Belt #1 ) who received his 1st degree black belt in October 1961.
